TWO VERY SPECIAL WINES!
For the month of August we have chosen two fantastic wines to showcase. The first is a white Burgundy, Bin 34, a stunning Meursault acknowledged as the ‘Queen of Burgundy’. A pure 2010 Chardonnay with beautiful citrus aromas, packed with rich opulent fruit on the palate made by the small family grower Domaine Yves Boyer-Martenot who have been established since 1890. They make only 200,000 bottles a year and CMWines are fortunate to get a generous allocation of this superb wine to pass onto our discerning wine lovers. We are down to our last 20 cases so don’t miss out! You can drink now or keep for up to 4 years.
Our second wine of the month is the superb red Châteauneuf du Pape Marquis from the Southern Rhone. Made by the dynamic duo: brothers André and Jérôme Mathieu. This is a sensational red wine, in either the 2007 or 2009 vintage, full bodied, rich, spicy and aromatic perfect with Sunday roast, red meats, game and cheese. This wine comes highly recommended – special note the vines were planted in 1890 by the boys great grandfather! This is Bin 59 on our wine list. MAGNUMS also available!
