Chris and Howard’s Spring Burgundy Trip

Some people think working as wine merchants has its perks: jet-setting round the world to beautiful locations, drinking the finest wines and rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. You know what . . . they are absolutely right!

It’s with great pleasure that we can announce that our producers have invited us to visit the Burgundy region, to taste the 2011 and 2012 vintages from the finest cellars in Beaune, Meursault, Nuits-Saints-Georges and Puligny.

At the start of April we shall be attending a series of lunches and dinners to celebrate the exclusive relationship between CM Wines and the region’s finest wine makers. We may only look 40, so you may find this hard to believe, but we have in fact been importing Premier and Grand Cru wines from this region for over 30 years!

We shall be staying at the breathtaking Chateau de Gilly, a 15th century moated castle. Well worth an overnight stay should you be passing through the Burgundy countryside.

This will no doubt be a trip to remember and we look forward to sharing our stories and new discoveries when we return.
