Bonjour wine lovers – its minus 4 degrees in Irlam today as I look over our frosty vineyards !

This year has been crazy busy planning new events and looking to develop our new Spring wine catalogue

As soon as the last verse of Auld Lang Syne was sung we were down at the London Boat Show parading our wines in front of the Marine cognescenti… we hosted some fabulous Champagne tasting events with our key brand partners including HENRI LLOYD Clothing and WAYNE POLLOCK Travel where we entertained their top clients and seduced them with the amazing 2007 CHAMPAGNE BONVILLE ROSE GRAND CRU

The Boat Show was swiftly followed by a flying visit to the Southern Rhone tasting the 09 and 10 vintages of Gigondas and Cairanne – oh my day – wine heaven! possibly the best back to back vintages I have ever tasted – certainly the best since 1989/1990….. you simply must taste and order our new 2010 Cairanne from Alain Boisson and 2009 Gigondas from Domaine Fourmone…. they are both huge fruitbombs with dark chunky blackcurrant/liquorice fruits – ready now but you can keep 5 years …

Next stop > New Zealand! Mid-Jan we had the pleasure of a special visit from Grant Taylor (winemaker) of Bald Hills winery in Central Otago. An absolute no brainer … we had no hesitation but to order these amazing wines and ship our first consignment immediately …. The range consists of 2007 Last Light Riesling and 2007 Single Vineyard Pinot Noir. Both wines are fruit driven and pure with high natural expression – mind blowing quality
