Hot on the heels of our Argentinian expedition, I present to you a wine that’s become close to our hearts after spending time with Raol and Jimena Joffre in their Upper Uco Valley Winery.
The high altitude (1100m) vineyards allow the Malbec grapes to bask in the sunshine and enjoy a late ripening, creating the perfect skin consistency and extremely juicy pulp.
This 100% Malbec is aged in new French barrels and is given a lot of TLC, allowing the wine to develop a highly fruit driven flavour composition with overstones of cassis, figs, jammy fruit and dark chocolate. The “must have” wine for any foodie who wants the perfect accompaniment to red meat.
