Birthday at the Bonvilles

Friday, June 14th, marked the date of another CM Wines trip to the wine regions of France. We were delighted to receive an invitation to celebrate the 40th anniversary birthday of Franck Bonville Champagne.

Their vines have been firmly planted in the Avize and Oger soil since the end of the Second World War and Franck’s
knowledge and expertise has been passed down to his son Giles and, more recently, his grandson Olivier.

The Franck Bonville Champagne legacy has always focused on creating the highest quality Champagne using traditional
techniques. The fact that their Champagne is sold all over the world is a testament to this.

We were treated to a fantastic vertical tasting of vintages dating back to 1959, a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Grand
Cru vineyard of “Belles Voyes” and an unforgettable candlelit gourmet dinner in their Avize cellars.

This was a trip of a lifetime and one that will certainly remain in our memories for many years to come. Take a look at the
