This month, I’m excited to highlight the 2019 Château la Fortune Margaux, crafted by Michel Rolland.
A Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend, it’s medium to full-bodied, showing spices, red fruits, baked plums, and subtle dried herbs with a slightly chewy texture.
Grown in Margaux – the southernmost Médoc appellation – the vineyards’ exceptional gravelly terroir gives this wine its elegance and finesse.
It pairs beautifully with roast lamb, duck, game, or rich mushroom dishes, making it a versatile choice for the table.
For me, this Margaux is a perfect expression of place, balance, and winemaking mastery – a wine to savor and enjoy.
